Definitely in my top 5. I've never gotten tired of this movie.

I've often thought about the whole "the wave" thing looking at how these SOE people rally against a so called fascist government and then they actually go and create one for themselves. I read the book and watched a somewhat corny made for tv version of it but that german one looks like it might be pretty bad ass I might have to check that one out

Anyway I'll reccomend the two movies I've seen recently that really effected me

in my opinion the far and away best film of 2008, should have fucking swept the oscars, absolutely amazing, surreal, hilarious, sad, beautiful film that has so much going on I can't even begin to start talking about it here you just need to see it. Perhaps the greatest movie ever in terms of showcasing the truths of the human experience in all its wacky tragicness SEE THIS MOVIE NOW

though i'm better versed in anime tv this is probably my personal favourite anime movie, the animation might put you off at first but stick with it and you will soon start to feel your eyeballs being raped. Because I'm lazy I will quote the guy whose review is shown on the main imdb page

Great South Korean vengeance flick based on a Japanese manga. I vote skipping the other two in the The Vengeance Trilogy and just watching Oldboy.

hell fucking yes man, oldboy is my favorite movie of all time, I'm already planning the double murder of will smith and steven spielberg to stop those assholes from daring to remake that masterpiece

Though personally I fucking loved mr vengeance too, lady vengeance was the weakest

Finally got around to watching this movie tonight since you mentioned it :) I would love to see Brad do the incantation scene. "I feel no pain" LOL :P

Save the Green Planet: A Korean movie about a guy who thinks his boss is an alien from Andromeda,so he kidnaps and tortures him to try to make him confess.

Intacto, a spanish movie about people who can manipulate luck. They do crazy shit like play russian roulette with five bullets instead of one, and run full tilt through a forest while blindfolded. Kind of dark atmosphere to this one.

Wristcutters - A Love Story = a funny film in a guy who commits suicide ends up in an afterlife that is almost the same as the normal world, but just slightly worse. It's strange as hell, but completely brilliant.

If you enjoy those kinds of movies where you don't know whats going on most of the time and then it suddenly hits you and you have a brain seizure from the mindfuck, watch Primer.
