Ok, please don't mistake me here. I think there is a HUUUUUUUUUGE problem with the ongoing violations of our constitutional rights in the United States. That having been said, this man is NOT a victim. He's a freedom fighter (emphasis on the word "fighter")... not a victim, not a peaceful protester. The video below shows that he has an agenda... an agenda that I respect, but an agenda all the same.

So this division between victim, peaceful protester, and freedom fighter rests upon whether or not a person has an agenda? The emphasis on the word "fighter" is also interesting, could you elaborate on that?
No, I was not implying that having an agenda divides these groups. A victim does not necessarily have an agenda. But an activist, in any form, most certainly has an agenda.
In my opinion, Steven Anderson portrays himself in the original video posted here as a victim of circumstance... poor Pastor Steve, brutalized by the Border Patrol and the DPS, playing on the sympathies of the viewer. He does not disclose in this video that he has a habit of instigating officers of the law to prove the point that our constitutional freedoms are at jeopardy. He is a man who instigates conflict for the sake of fulfilling a goal.
It is my opinion that, superficially, his agenda is a worthy one. The demanded search without probable cause documented in the second video shows that he is fighting for the fourth amendment. Commendable! But his methods are aggressive. After seeing other videos, I cannot view this man as a victim of police brutality. He is no Rodney King.
If you go to war and you suffer some scrapes, you are no victim. You chose to go to war. Here's another example of how Pastor Anderson instigates conflict with an officer of the law.
hmmmm honestly if your gonna make some big deal about "your rights" and be a dick and not even cooperate with the patrol or anything you are WAY more likely to be detained and fucked with then if you just generally keep your mouth shut and do whats asked of you. This seems like the kind of guy who gets off on being detained and whining about "this is america der da doo" but like the holy brad teaches us sometimes you get back what you put out. All border people are a bunch of insane douches who have their humor and souls sucked out through a tube so just treat them as such and if you still get detained for being nothing but courteous and going along with their requests then maybe there's a reason to be pissed off but when this guy was all like "no i will not roll down my window, let me go right now"....I mean if you really want to avoid being detained just dont do shit like that. simple, I'm not saying there arent some problems with the laws and shit but this guy is just askin for it

ok after watching some of those vids I think this guy was looking for trouble.
though I still think that police brutality was uncalled for, the guy shouldn't start trouble with cops.

I think he is peacefully protesting in both the checkpoint and airport video.
yah that airport video is kind of ridiculous...the guy wasnt pointing the guns at cars for fuck sakes, its just beefed up airport security it dosen't mean hes gonna go around shooting innocent people...honestly this guy seems like the kind of douche that I'm ok with cops beating up, like how if there was a video of cops beating up brad i'd be like "thank you for being such great civil servants"
