Paranormal Phenomena? Simple prank? Someone lighten me up on this.

I'm sure you guys know that I'm the guy who gets scared easily in SoSoE due to the nutcracker fiasco that went on months ago. Everyone says it was just my mind and I was starting to believe them until now, I'll get to that later.

Alright, before the incident of the nutcracker, creepy things happened in my room. I'll give some examples starting from a young age to the present.

Here are the following that I can think of:

1. Almost every night I sleep in there I have nightmares.
2. Ever since I was a small boy I've had a visual picture in my mind of an old man walking through my hallway from the 1700's or so.
3. One time when I was on the phone with my ex Michele I saw a strange women in my mirror (same women who's been in my dreams since I was 3).
4. The nutcracker incident.
5. Weird things moving while I'm laying on my bed.
6. Scary things happen at scary times. For example: I'm thinking about something falling or something hitting me often something just falls without warning.
7. Various figures appearing in my room late at night.
8. Door moving without explanation.

I know this sounds like I'm a paranoid freak and that I need help, but listen to this - for the first time ever I had witnesses. Actual people were right next to me whilst one of these anomalies took place.

Here's the story:

Today was a normal day; slept in, ate a meal, played a few games online, the usual. It was kind of surprising when Nick, one of my only friends I have left came over with a small kid named Richard. Richard's a little kid who comes over every few months or so and I love it when he's over because it's always fun when he's around. Let's cut to it: Richard wanted to watch scary videos, so that's exactly what we did. I turned on a Bloody Mary video and it frightened him, so I left the room with the excuse "I'm going to get a glass of tea." and soon came back with a doll and made a screaming sound, he turns around and yelps. Haha, that was funny. So I put the doll up, come back and we all keep on trying to frighten each other in some way. Nick and I run out of the room and turn off the main light, not the bathroom one and say "She's coming to get you." and that scares him and tickles us pink. So we came back in and Nick tries to scare both of us doing the same trick. I said stop and turn on the light while Richard's next to me and the door's shut with Nick in the living room and out of nowhere the bathroom sink turns on. Richard and I didn't notice it, well I did but I thought it was the backyard hose because Nick usually waters our backyard at around this time if he's staying over. Nick comes back around fifteen minutes later and points out it's on. I was curious and thought it was him and he swore it wasn't him so I think back at what happened and recalled it shutting on while he was in the living room. I felt chills go up my spine.

So we all are just going "What the fuck?" and I'm trying to analyze what happened and thinking up any logical reasons for it to randomly turn on. So we all just forget about it around twenty minutes later or so and don't dare walk into the bathroom. I was laying on the bed eating raw top ramen and drinking ice tea, Nick was sitting next to me on my bed playing pinball on my laptop, and Richard was across the room playing RuneScape on the computer.
Richard all of a sudden gets up and says "I'm going to the bathroom and while I'm at it I'm going to shut off the sink." and all of a sudden the sink shuts off, the exact moment he says that. Nick looks at me with his eyes wide open in shock, Richard doesn't know what to think, and I'm scared shitless. We all thought the same thing: Let's get out of here! and that's exactly what we did. I came out first, Nick came out second after shoving Richard out of the way in fear, and Richard came out last. I have been paranoid this whole night.

I know what you're all thinking, Nick pranked us. But I don't see how he could have with him next to me. May I also note that the bathroom which the sink was on is connected to my bedroom and I could see everything in it, the tub, toilet, sink, cabinets, etc. so don't suggest someone may have been using it.

This happened around five hours ago and I'm still trying to think up some scientific explanation for it and I can only think of two off of the top of my head:

1. It was a pure coincidence.
2. It was paranormal phenomena.

Could you give me your opinion or enlighten me on this?
