Saviors of Saviors of Earth

Earthlings, Chiaroscuros and Sfumatos, United to Save the Saviors

In “When Prophecy Fails”, dealing with cognitive dissonance, Leon Festinger writes about a Mrs. Keech and her followers. Through automatic writing, Mrs. Keech received a message that the world would come to an end on December 21, 1954. Keech and her group were promised to be picked up by a UFO and flown to safety at the stroke of midnight on December 20. When the extraterrestrial deus ex machina failed to show up, Keech and co. experienced a brief moment of panic and clung to the possibility that their clocks were faulty. After several hours of waiting in vain, some followers “snapped out of it” and went home to pick up the pieces of their lives; others stayed and collectively came up with strained excuses to convince themselves that the night had been a success: the final conclusion of Keech and her group was that their collected love had actually saved earth from destruction!

How interesting it was to see the 10-14-08 movement go through the very same predictable motions. Many called it quits when Blossom’s UFO didn’t show up, others clung to the notion that it was still the 14th in certain parts of the world, then came up with the “wrong calendar” excuse, and when that didn’t work either a change in doctrine was made (cue Saviorsofearth -SOE-) to call the day a success after all. Before long, SOE founder Brad Johnson proudly proclaimed that the love of his group had actually prevented an earthquake from happening.

The fact that 10-14-08 took place in the digital age spices things up a bit. The internet allowed believers who walked away when nothing happened on 10-14 to easily keep retuning to the safe haven when everyday life once again becomes unbearable, too scary, too tough, or too dull. On a psychological level, returning is not so easy - cognitive dissonance comes into play again here and the returning member must subconsciously try to justify this move to himself by upgrading his gullibility and accepting (and maybe even defending) the content that had made him leave in the first place.

Look at SOE administrator Tony who once was an amiable, “pull up a chair” kind of guy, openly contemplated leaving SOE, but finally became Brad’s fascistic attack dog and often stays up all night to have the final word in discussions on Saviorsofsaviorsofearth (SoSoe). Look at SOE member Trudy, who once expressed her dislike of Brad on SOE’s Dutch group pages and considered leaving, but now addresses Brad as “Dear, Dear friend.” Look at SOE member Simone, who was a grounded, likeable member of both SOE and SoSoe, left both communities at one point, but returned to SOE a while ago where she was even sympathetic to member Pierre, a guy who once called for violent revolution, recently made death threats to SoSoe members, and turned out to be a fine example of what a real cyber stalker is.

Saviorsofaviorsofearth (SoSoe) has been referred to as a cyber stalking hate site that sticks its nose in Brad’s personal life. The thing is, there is no need to rummage through Brad’s trashcan to dig up the dirt as Brad has a tendency to make his affairs public. For example, when Brad (who’s married with children) started an affair with married SOE-member Kerry, he bragged on SOE chat about having shagged her in the astral plane, right under her oblivious husband’s nose. It’s one of the many times Brad acted impulsively and openly said things he probably regretted afterwards but couldn’t take back. It has been Brad’s modus operandi from the get-go to delete everything that might tarnish his (self-)image so he understandably doesn’t like it one bit when screencaps of the things he doesn’t want SOE members to know or remember show up here on SoSoe. He has said a number of times that he is so evolved that nothing we say or do can bother him, but it has become obvious that it bothers him quite a bit. His recent responses are textbook examples of a cornered person who makes a desperate attempt at “making it all go away”: Brad’s umpteenth ultimatum (I paraphrase: “remove the information and photos that expose me as a liar and schemer or I will go to the police and sue you!”) was both sad and laughable and his lashing out at his former best friend Sean (who has joined SoSoe to express both his concern about Brad’s wellbeing and his annoyance at Brad’s ongoing and most likely illegal schemes) irrelevant as it doesn’t change the fact that, when Brad proudly declared on SOE to be sleeping outdoors, away from the burdens of society, he was actually crashing at Sean’s place.

That is what SoSoe is all about: offering the information Brad tries to delete, distort, or sweep under the rug. SoSoe offers the complete picture so that people who contemplate signing up with SOE have a better idea of what Brad is all about. So, yes, when Brad lies on SOE about sleeping in nature, we come forward with the information that Brad was actually spending the night at a friend’s place.

When Brad says on facebook that he has mastered abundance and used it to avoid getting evicted, we come forward and show that Brad has been selling his personal belongings. That is not abundance but barely making ends meet and there’s nothing supernatural about that.

When Brad openly calls yet another (married) woman his soul mate or twin flame or whatever, we keep track and add it to the list of short lived online flings. Sure, there is a nothing illegal about seducing married women online (at least not in this part of the world) but what does such juvenile behavior tell you about Brad’s ethics, integrity, and morality?

When Brad starts yet another website aimed at making money with his “powers”, we are there to make screen caps and add it to the list of failures before Brad deletes the sites in question (as he has done with meditation cures.com and expressionofsoul.com where getting rid of cancer and autism was only a click on the paypal button away).

When Tony comes here (yes, he’s a member here and welcome to (ab)use the freedom of speech SoSoe offers) to say that SoSoe members have been banned from SOE because one cannot be a member of both sites (he compared it to a vegetarian joining a site that promotes the consumption of meat) and then lies on SOE, saying “as of yet we have no problems with people being a member of both sites”, we come forward with the information of his hypocrisy.

When Brad proudly announces that his youtube videos were “the most viewed in the Canadian education-category”, we come forward with the information (as always backed up by screen caps) that Brad made this happen by creating multiple youtube accounts to favorite and give five star ratings to his own stuff (and disabling ratings when others give him less than favorable reviews).

Yes, SoSoe is crass and offensive at times but even if SoSoe was clinical and businesslike, it’d still be referred to as a hate site. Earlier this year Pufnstuf, a popular SOE member and close internet friend of Brad’s, made the “mistake” of expressing concern for some less stable SOE-members who might have taken Brad’s message of “Ascend now!” a bit too literally. Puf’s sincere concern was met with an open attack from Brad and horrible insults from friends who rounded up on him:

http://saviorsofsaviorsofearth.ning.com/forum/topics/messages-sent-...

It reminded me of Godfather 2: endless exclamations of unconditional love and tender words about the importance of family are made, but make one mistake and people will show their true colors and give you the kiss of death.

On a side note, Puf hasn’t logged in for ages and we can only hope that he is doing fine. SOE-admins are quick to say that its members are capable of using discernment (because every time when it comes down to it, Brad and co. prefer to dodge responsibility), so if the vulnerable Pufnstuf is NOT doing fine, I’m sure it has absolutely nothing to with him receiving hateful messages from people he thought were his friends…*COUGH*

Anyway, what happened with Puf shows that it wouldn’t make any difference if SoSoe was devoid of ridicule and satire. Besides, I’m partial to satire; SoSoe didn’t invent it - it has been around for ages, just like quacks have been around for ages. Just like UFO cults that all go through the exact same motions (sometimes with devastating results for their less stable members) have been around for just about forever. And, speaking for myself, I don’t think Brad deserves any respect. There is enough evidence on this site to expose him as the sad little abusive, lying man-child that he is. He is so very transparent that every person with half a brain should be able to see right through him (unless they have personal reasons--the outside world scares me so I need to believe in SOE!--to continue defending and standing by him). As long as Brad keeps making a fool out of himself, as long as he continues to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing, SoSoe will ridicule him and offer visitors of this site the kind of information he doesn’t want you to see. So, if you happen to be on a spiritual quest and contemplate joining SOE, pull up a chair and browse through SoSoe’s blogs and forums first to get a taste of everything Brad will try to hide from you.

Again, SoSoe members consist of skeptics, open minded people with a bona fide interest in spiritual growth, and ex-members of SOE who decided to walk away from the hypocrisy, lies, and fascism there. SoSoe members also include a couple of Brad’s former best friends and Brad’s sister, who are both worried about his mental wellbeing and angry at his ongoing lies and money-making schemes. SoSoe also features unbilled special appearances by Brad Johnson himself (“Bus73d”) and the aforementioned Tony - whereas SOE silences and bans opponents, everyone is welcome at SoSoe to speak their peace (as long as no death threats or repetitive and derogatory remarks about the sexual preferences of some of its members are made).

Et voila, there is the Tony I mentioned in the article, dropping by again to give his opinion and thereby confirming what I wrote about the freedom of speech offered by SoSoe.

Unfortunately, Tony’s comment focuses on only one sentence and still fails to clarify things *sigh*. Nobody denies that some people are indeed members of both SOE and SoSoe; what is unclear is why some of them got and get banned from SOE. “Duality”, foul language, and insults are given as reasons, but when people haven’t done anything to warrant a ban, they’re shipped off with, I paraphrase, “one cannot be a member of both sites because that would like a vegetarian joining a site that promotes the consumption of meat”. So again (and again and again): no one denies that some people are members of both sites; what’s still unclear after all that time is why some people got banned for no reason and, upon confrontation, given a weak, deceitful excuse.

Yes, Brad has been told to die and go to hell and whatnot. Nobody denies that either. We all know that some people, including me, tend to use strong language when angry. (Tony himself also uses colorful phrases in the heat of the moment: http://saviorsofsaviorsofearth.ning.com/video/brad-does-his-shamwow...). I don’t endorse it, but these things happen sometimes, not just on the internet, but also at work, during a rowdy night on the town, and God knows adolescent sibling rivalry wouldn’t be the same without harsh words of that magnitude. We also know it’s not quite the same as really wishing or hoping that harm will come to the person we’re angry with. What does make a difference is context. Some SoSoe-members are mad as hell at Brad because of his schemes, lies, and his attempts to manipulate the gullible, the weak, and everything that wears a skirt. SOE-members, however, as we can see in the article’s link to “messages from SOE-ers to Pufnstuf”, also lash out at people, nay, friends who express genuine concern about the wellbeing of others. And how can we ever forget Druanna’s terms of endearment in her infamous youtube video?

Usually, when the going gets tough, Tony prefers to walk away from the thread and start commenting on another one, but maybe he’ll post another response here, just to prove me wrong. In any case, Tony is, as always, more than welcome to cyberstalk hit and run give his two cents because this site firmly believes in freedom of speech and is against any form of fascism.

Tony said:
*sigh* the usual half truths and bullshit to fit the sosoe agenda.
.....and then lies on SOE, saying “as of yet we have no problems with people being a member of both sites”, we come forward with the information of his hypocrisy......

Bloodshotbuddah, Mystical enigma, indigo bliss... and the list goes on. All members here and at soe. The sosoe members who have been banned have either wished members of soe dead (search on die, dead, kill) or insulted them, as their posts clearly show.

Here just one to wet the taste buds to let new members see the hate posted here:
